CORE PAPER was started with Jerome Muchnick, Gene Cohen, Howard Sherman
and Robert Kogen. Muchnick was formerly a partner
of a large converting operation for 35 years and was responsible for
purchasing 90% of the
mill first line and off grade product with additional
duties in management. Gene Cohen and Howard Sherman have over 35 years
experience in buying
and selling paper. In 2000 Ruth and Barry Hammerberg
joined Core Paper with a satellite office in Appleton, WI. In addition
to buying and selling
job-lots, they concentrate their efforts in purchasing
stock for recycling. Assisting this team are Sue McAnany and Lisa Howard.
Our office is under the supervision of Edna McAnany.
Our primary purpose in the marketplace is to help fill the void between the mill and the customer in locating stock for daily requirements. We offer side-trim, excess inventory, field rejects, job lots, paper and paper board as well as first line mill tonnage. We are interested in building long-term relationships and we are a very effective marketing outlet for any grade of paper or paperboard you might have available. Credibility, responsibility, continuity and pride in our service to our suppliers and customers are our most important assets. We constantly expand our customer base so that we may be more responsive to our mill offerings. Our efforts to focus on export sales have afforded us the ability to purchase from mills that want their product removed from their marketplace.
